About Us
Founded in 1992, Teuza is one of Israel's first venture capital funds and is traded on Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TUZA.TA). We focus on early stage investments (seed / pre-seed), shaping the future of various industries through innovation and strategic partnerships.
Our Story
Teuza, one of the first venture capital funds in Israel, was founded in 1992 with an initial capital of $22 million. It commenced its operations as a public company traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange, and had 21 exits since its establishment.
The fund's establishment was made possible through the concerted efforts of Nevatim, led by Avi Kerbs and Prof. Joseph Gross, and a consortium of investors composed of the Fairchild Corporation, Bank Leumi, and Dr. Hecht, a philanthropist who previously served as special consultant to Israel's Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
The early success of Teuza can be attributed to the exceptional leadership of key figures, such as Jeffery J. Steiner, Chairman and CEO of the Fairchild Corporation, General Harold ("Johnny") Johnson, Senior VP of Fairchild, and Moshe Sanbar, Chairman of Bank Leumi at that time and ex-Governor of the Bank of Israel.
